 Derek Parola
Baseball Skills Coach
Derek grew up and attended Mundelein High School, graduating in 2014. After his high school career, he went on to play division 1 baseball at Illinois State University. During his time at ISU, Derek earned all-conference honors and was a key contributor to a Missouri Valley Conference championship team.
After completing his playing career, Derek transitioned into coaching. His coaching tenure includes stops at University of Illinois Springfield (2020) and Illinois State University (2021-24). Derek coached both infielders and hitters at UIS and ISU. Over the past four years, Derek has been instrumental in developing ISU's position players and saw four ISU players selected in the MLB draft. Derek also has a vast knowledge in the NCAA Baseball recruiting landscape as he has played a significant role in Illinois State’s 2022-25 recruiting classes.
